TIOmarkets Unveils New Mobile App for Forex and CFD Trading

TIOmarkets has rolled out a new all-in-one mobile trading app consolidating account opening, funding, trading and support into a single smartphone experience, according to a TradingView-carried announcement.

TIOmarkets Unveils New Mobile App for Forex and CFD Trading

The launch is positioned as a fix for the fragmented onboarding process that has long plagued retail broker clients. The audit question isn't whether the interface is convenient — it's what that convenience quietly costs the trader.

The instrument shelf and the TradingView hook

The app surfaces more than 900 tradable instruments: over 70 currency pairs, hundreds of stock CFDs, major global indices, and precious metals spanning gold, silver, platinum and palladium. Integrated TradingView charts ship bundled without a separate subscription — a line item competitors commonly itemize monthly.

TIOmarkets also points to a base of more than 250,000 accounts opened across 170 countries. That footprint reads as marketing ballast more than as a cost benchmark for a new client funding a mobile account today.

The pricing architecture deserves scrutiny

This is where the forensic lens earns its keep. The announcement promotes "raw spreads starting from 0.0 pips" alongside "commission-free options" — but those two phrases describe different account tiers, not the same trade. The Standard account embeds the spread markup inside the quoted price. The Raw account strips that markup and re-introduces a per-side commission. VIP Black, Nano and Investment accounts each construct their own fee stack, and the mobile app will not lay that distinction out at the point of sale.

A trader reading "0.0 pips" on the mobile quote screen and assuming that's the total expense will misread the architecture. The true round-trip cost is the sum of spread, any commission attached to that specific account, and any overnight financing the position accumulates while held. The headline figure is the smallest visible number, not the final one.

What the announcement leaves unsaid

TIOmarkets' launch material does not surface an inactivity penalty schedule, withdrawal fee thresholds, or overnight financing rates on CFD indices and commodities. Mobile-first traders running smaller balances and trading intermittently are precisely the cohort these non-trading line items target — a pattern worth flagging for anyone downloading the app based on the headline pricing alone.

Before funding, verify directly in the account specifications page:

  • The dormancy period after which inactivity fees begin, and the monthly charge
  • Withdrawal fees per method and any minimum thresholds
  • Swap rates on the most-traded CFD indices and on gold and silver held overnight
  • Whether the Nano account — sized for smaller balances — carries a wider spread than the Standard tier

Security is named as a development priority, though the announcement does not detail whether biometric login, device binding or session timeout controls are enabled by default.

The mobile experience is becoming the default expectation for retail execution, and the underlying tooling — from charting engines to algorithmic interfaces — increasingly draws on recent machine learning research to compete on speed and analytics. What still separates a genuinely low-cost broker from a slickly packaged one is the same set of line items the app does not surface until the account is already funded.
