STARTRADER Adds 30 Tech and Energy CFDs to MetaTrader 5 Platform
STARTRADER has pushed 30 new U.S. equity and ETF CFDs into its MT5 environment, weighted toward tech and energy tickers.

For traders running multi-symbol DOMs and algo flows on the MetaTrader stack, this registers as a symbol-list delta — not a platform rebuild. The relevant question is execution behavior: spread width, swap schedule, and session coverage. The broker has not published those layers alongside the announcement.
Instrument roster and exposure surface
The 30-symbol increment targets U.S. single stocks and ETFs, with tech and energy forming the bulk. That composition concentrates exposure inside the U.S. cash session plus the EU overlap and does not extend coverage into APAC equities or fixed income. API-driven strategies already routing through MT5 can pull the new symbols via the existing symbol feed, contingent on the broker's server list being refreshed on the client terminal. Charting stacks tied to MT5 will receive the additions automatically once the symbols propagate through the broker's gateway.
Context: overnight CFD access is widening
The move tracks a broader pattern at retail-facing venues. FOREX.com, the online trading platform of StoneX Group, has launched Japan Stock CFDs and Japan Stock CFD Knock-Out Options operated by StoneX Securities, with selected instruments tradable from 5:25 pm to 5:00 am JST — described by the broker as the first overnight window for these products in Japan. The two rollouts are not identical products, but both reflect brokers extending access windows and instrument counts on existing MT5-class terminals rather than introducing new execution infrastructure.
Verification checklist before sizing up
Confirm spread tick size on each new symbol under both peak and off-peak conditions. Pull the overnight swap schedule — energy and tech ETFs carry different carry profiles. Test execution during U.S. pre-market and post-market windows; STARTRADER's existing MT5 server configuration will determine whether extended-hours quoting is available on these CFDs. Validate margin treatment on the ETF leg under the applicable jurisdictional tier. Finally, verify that symbol naming maps cleanly across the MT5 terminal, the broker's web portal, and any third-party API bridge in use.
