Apex Integrates Kalshi Event Contracts Directly into Retail Brokerage Interfaces
Apex Fintech Solutions has stripped the FCM build out of the broker's deployment checklist, according to Finance Magnates.

The firm has shipped an API layer — AscendOS — that pipes Kalshi's CFTC-regulated event contracts into existing retail trading interfaces, with Tastytrade as the first production tenant.
What the middleware actually handles
Event contracts are derivatives, not data feeds. A broker integrating them faces a fixed operational list: exchange connectivity, FCM infrastructure, product eligibility logic, position and settlement reconciliation, and a disclosure layer that fits the existing account experience. Apex absorbs exchange connectivity, FCM plumbing, eligibility mapping, and back-office reconciliation; the broker retains presentation, gating, compliance review, and client support. The handoff runs through Apex's AscendOS APIs, which is the surface a broker codes against. Kalshi remains the execution venue; Apex provides the connective tissue between the exchange and the broker's platform. Contract positions appear alongside stocks and options inside the same account view, instead of routing into a separate prediction-market client.
Distribution surface and integration points
Apex states it provides infrastructure for close to 200 firms, including Webull, eToro US, Stash, and Ally Invest. That client base functions as the real distribution channel: Kalshi reaches broker customers without each platform rebuilding event-contract infrastructure from scratch, and Apex layers another product category onto its clearing and custody stack. Tastytrade's parent IG Group is moving into event-based trading in parallel, having agreed to acquire Underdog, a U.S. daily fantasy sports and prediction-markets operator, in a deal worth up to about $1.3 billion.
Per Travis McGhee, Global Head of Digital Markets at Apex Fintech Solutions, "Investors want to trade on direct events, not proxies." He added that "Through our platform, clients can now offer Kalshi's event contracts with ease."
Kalshi is the only venue live on the service today; Apex has indicated that additional exchanges will be added subject to demand. On volume projections, Bernstein has estimated annual prediction-market volumes could approach $1 trillion by 2030, with the figure contingent on regulatory clarity. For brokers evaluating the integration, the near-term scope is narrow: confirm AscendOS endpoint coverage, verify settlement and corporate-action parity against existing asset classes, and test how eligibility restrictions surface inside the existing order entry flow and DOM.
Stability verdict: one venue, one live broker, documented API layer, real distribution behind it. Primary risk vector remains regulatory, not technical.
